How do your autonomous vehicles work?

Glydways is a closed-system. That means that our network is closed off to incursions of any kind, including people. We prevent incursions with barriers and fences. Because of this, we use closed-road autonomous technology, widely available today. Because we have control over our infrastructure, we are able to leverage this by also monitoring 100% of our lanes 100% of the time from within the lanes themselves. This in turn allows us to deploy our core IP, which is all about high-fidelity orchestration of our entire vehicle fleet to provide anytime, on-demand, high-capacity private mobility service at extremely high capacity and exceptionally low build & operating cost.

Level 5 Autonomy (full driving automation) will be here in the future, that’ll solve the problem, why this?

Level 5 Autonomy will not solve traffic. Cars operate on roads which have natural bottlenecks such as crosswalks and intersections. Level 5 does not eliminate these problems and current roads/cars will maintain their inefficient operations, simply without a driver. Glydways can move as many people in a single bike lane as 5 lanes of level 5 traffic because it is a complete system, free of bottlenecks. Glydways technology is required to eliminate traffic congestion, bring down costs, and dramatically bring down carbon emissions, all the while providing affordable access to mobility for the 100%.
